The use of forklift trucks has limitations. Therefore, in order to enhance the convenience of the forklift truck operation, the forklift truck attachments are produced.

After the attachment has been placed on a forklift, the original design intention of the forklift has actually been changed. Therefore, in the actual operation, how will the carrying capacity of the forklift change? Will it affect the operation and use of the forklift? Before analyzing the situation, we must first understand the following concepts. These are some of the factors that are most closely related to the actual carrying capacity of the forklift and are indispensable for calculating and judging the comprehensive capacity of the forklift.

Load capacity

The load of the attachment is the maximum weight that the attachment can safely carry under a certain load center.

2. Load center distance

The load center distance refers to the distance from the front surface of the frame to the center of gravity of the load.

Lost distance

The distance from the front surface of the fork carriage to the front surface of the frame (that is, the thickness of the attachment).

Forklift / Attachment (Combination) Load Capacity

The bearing capacity is an important aspect to be considered during the selection of forklift trucks and attachments. The forklift (mainly balanced and heavy type) with the rear attachment is installed, and the combination (integrated) carrying capacity of the forklift/apparatus is the maximum of the goods. The load weight will be reduced for the following two reasons:

1) The moment due to the weight of the attachment counteracts the load moment of a portion of the forklift.

2) Since the thickness of the attachment frame structure is greater than the thickness of the fork, in actual operation, the load center of the fork picking goods (the distance from the center of the goods to the front end face of the forklift truck fork) moves forward, which also offsets a part of Forklift load moment.

Not fitted with front (based on principle of force balance):

M forklift = M rated load = G rated load x (c + x)

After installing the attachment:

M Rated load = M cargo + M attachment

Among them: M cargo = G cargo x (x-s + cog)

M attachment = G attachment x (x–s+v+L/2)

Maximum cargo weight G cargo = (M rated load - M attachment) / (x-s + cog)

Factors to consider when selecting a type

How can a customer choose a suitable forklift attachment that is suitable for the working environment of its own company in the face of the working environment conditions, operation methods, and different or used forklift trucks used or to be purchased in different fields? Under normal circumstances, the customer must provide the actual conditions and requirements for the use of the attachment to the forklift truck OEM or its sales agent or attachment company. Based on these important information, the forklift truck manufacturer or its sales agent or company can carry out the selection of the fittings.

Here are the factors to consider when choosing an attachment:

1) What kinds of goods the customer carries: such as paper rolls, soft bags, buckets, household appliances, pipes, trays and other items.

2) Cargo weight: (including pallets) kg, length (in the direction of travel) mm, width/diameter in mm, height in mm.

3) Outer surface/contact surface (outer package).

4) Mode of transport: a. Pallet transport: size of cargo pallet mm, height of pallet jack mm b. no pallet transport: cargo pile spacing mm, number of cargo pieces

5) Specific handling information / actual environment:

How the customer will handle the goods: push/grip/rotate (horizontal in the direction of travel)/roll (horizontal in the direction of travel)/lateral movement/roll (in the direction of travel)/back of the car/car side goods.

6) Current customer status information: How does the customer solve the handling problem so far? How do they want to improve? What are their ideas?

7) What are the restrictions in practical applications: height, length, width, weight, and others?

8) Applicable application areas: smelters, construction sites, warehouses, special occasions, etc.

9) Environmental factors: explosive areas, dust, high temperature, low temperature, acidity, sugar, salt, food, nutritional products, beverages, etc.

10) Forklifts: Forklift model, gantry type, type of attachment selected, and action function. Determine the number of additional oil circuits for the forklift according to the type and function of the attachment:

a. A set of action function attachments, the forklift needs to provide a single additional oil circuit (such as the lateral movement of the lateral shifter);

b. Two sets of action function attachments, forklifts need to provide double additional oil (such as paper clips Zhang arm / clamping / rotation);

c. Three sets of action function attachments, forklifts need to provide double additional oil circuit and install a solenoid valve device (such as rotating side

Transfer/Clamp, Sideshift, Rotate).

11) Does the existing forklift still purchase new cars? (Is there a problem with forklift conversion, such as adding additional oil circuits, etc.)

12) Installation cost of the equipment (labor costs, time required to reconfigure the hydraulic system (if necessary), costs of the corresponding options, etc.)

Appendix 1 :

Selection of some common attachments

Bucket clip

1 . The weight of the goods: Determine the load of the attachment.

2 . The diameter of the barrel (whether it is a standard drum): Determines the shape of the drum clamp arm.

3 . The initial placement of the bucket (vertical or horizontal): Determines the type of bucket.

4 . Stacking method of barrels and disposal of goods in barrels (forward tilt, left and right tilt, etc.): Determine the type of barrel clamp.

5. The type of cargo in the barrel (flammable, volatile, explosive, etc.): Decide whether to use explosion-proof attachments.

6 . The number of grips each time: Determine the type of attachment.

Paper folder

1 . Roll weight: Determine the load of the attachment.

2 . The diameter of the paper roll (whether the diameter is uniform): Determine the range of opening and structure of the attachment.

3 . Paper (kraft, newsprint, white cardboard, coated paper, toilet paper, etc.): The form of the splint that determines the attachment.

4 . The outer packaging of the paper roll (such as: kraft paper packaging, plastic film packaging, etc.): The form of the splint that determines the attachment.

5. The number of rolls to hold each time: Determines the shape of the grip arms (whether the long arms are separated).

Rotator

1 . Weight of goods: Determine the load of the attachment

2 . Cross-section center spacing of the fork sleeve under or on the side of the container (storage cage, ladle, etc.): Determines the fork carriage in front of the rotator

Width and position of the fork positioning slot.

3 . The length of the container or cargo in the direction of the fork: Determine the load of the attachment and the length of the fork.

4 . Ownership of work environment (eg, normal temperature, high temperature, fishery, etc.): Determine the type of attachment.

5. The minimum height of the upper end of the forklift's original cargo forklift is determined from the ground: Determine the type of fork (type A, type B, or special fork), because it is necessary to ensure that the fork can reach the ground after the fork is hung on the attachment.

Soft clips and flat clips

1 . The weight of the goods: Determine the load of the attachment.

2 . The maximum size of the cargo across the fork: Determine the extent of the arm of the attachment.

3 . The maximum size of the cargo in the direction of the fork: both the length of the arm of the attachment and the load of the attachment are selected.

4 . The height of the cargo: it determines the arm height of the attachment.

5. The type of goods (soft, hard, internal products resistant to extrusion, etc.) and packaging (bulk or bundled, whether the outer packaging is allowed to squeeze): the decision to attach the clip arm.

6 . The number of clamps at each time determines the arm length and arm range of the attachment.

7. The transportation process of the goods (simple stacking, upper streamlines, loading and unloading vehicles, etc.): The length of the arm that affects the attachment.

8 . Do you need to flip the goods?

Load stabilizer

1 . The height of the goods: Determine the opening range of the attachment.

2 . The type of goods: It is determined by the type of pressure plate.

3 . The size of the individual pieces is extremely large. The overall size of the cargo in the direction of the fork and across the fork is determined by the size of the pressboard.

4 . Whether the equipment is packaged (boxed, bagged, wrap-around, etc.) and the condition of the road (flat, bumpy) when the forklift is operating determines whether the equipment is attached to the rack.

The above is the forklift's attachment knowledge
