Bosch officially established a new communications service center in China at the end of April 2015. As a leading provider of business process outsourcing and innovative business models, Bosch Service Solutions Division is actively expanding its global network and providing diversified travel solutions and services to Chinese vehicle manufacturers and users. The newly established service center is located in the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone and will begin operations in the second half of 2015. “China is a very strategic growth market for Bosch. This new communication service center will be an important cornerstone for us to expand our business in China and provide a range of travel service solutions for local customers,” said Bosch Service Solutions Division. Senior Vice President Robert Mulatz said. At the same time, he added: “We have provided and displayed the eCall, an emergency call rescue service, for the first time in China. Visitors to the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show have already experienced how this service can save lives in the event of an accident.”

Customized mobile services for the automotive industry

Through the newly established Shanghai Communication Service Center, Bosch Service Solutions Division is actively responding to the growing demand for mobile services in the Chinese market and is dedicated to enhancing the safety and convenience of drivers and passengers. The establishment of the new service center will begin with the provision of Bosch emergency call rescue service eCall. Once the system detects an accident in the vehicle, the information is transmitted to the Bosch Teleservice Center operating 24 hours. Thanks to the multi-language communication capabilities of the service center, the center will contact the driver at the first time and call the police to initiate emergency services if necessary. Even if the driver is unconscious at the time, the system can still operate. In addition, other mobile service content such as fleet management is currently in the planning phase. “The importance of innovative mobility concepts has become increasingly prominent.” Robert Mulatz said, “After the successful promotion of this new mobile service solution in Europe, our goal now is to bring this solution to China.”

Expanding the global layout

The newly established Shanghai Communications Service Center will further extend the coverage of Bosch Service Solutions in the global network. Currently, Bosch Service Solutions has 23 service stations and nearly 5,000 employees worldwide and can provide services in 30 languages. Services include mobile services, infrastructure and construction equipment, customer interaction and business support services. The business is headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany, and entered Chengdu, China in 2012. The Chengdu Service Center is mainly responsible for handling the logistic communications and liaison work of the Bosch Group, especially in China.
