EU releases 2010 new standard for lathe machinery

The European Union issued the 2010 new standard for lathe machinery, ENISO23125: 2010 Machinetools–Safety–Turning Machines. This standard is applicable to turning machine tools and will be implemented in November 2010 to replace the standard for lathes belonging to 4 different types. .

In short, since November 2010, all turning machine tools are required to comply with the EN ISO23125 specification. This action in the European Union has reconciled the original standards of the four lathes that were originally scattered with international standards in order to facilitate the marketing of the EU and the world. It is necessary to update the current yard's manufacturing specifications, declarations and certificates for lathes to the latest standards.

The new standard makes the following provisions:

2. The category requirements for safety-related control functions mentioned in the old standard have been replaced by "Performance Level" (PLr). The EN ISO 13849-1 standard will replace EN954-1 in 2012.
