The notice proposes that since April 30, 2014, light-duty engine vehicles registered in Shanghai (including foreign provinces and municipalities) and heavy-duty diesel vehicles in the public transportation, sanitation and postal industries used in this city will be implemented. For the fourth-stage emission standard vehicles sold or transferred after April 30, 2014 (excluding 30 days), registration will be stopped.
According to the notice, the specific scope of vehicles for implementing the fifth phase of national motor vehicle air pollutant emission standards in Shanghai is: light-ignited engine vehicles, including light-duty gasoline vehicles, light alternative fuel vehicles and light-duty dual-fuel vehicles; for public transportation and sanitation Heavy-duty diesel vehicles in the postal industry.
The notice pointed out that the motor vehicle models that are allowed to apply for a license in Shanghai will be published on the website of the Shanghai Environmental Protection Bureau on a regular basis by the Shanghai Environmental Protection Bureau in accordance with the announcement of the fifth-phase motor vehicle compliance model approved by the Ministry of Environmental Protection. When the Shanghai public security vehicle management department handles the registration of a motor vehicle (including the transfer from other provinces and cities), it shall make a decision on whether to accept the acceptance according to the announcement of the fifth-phase motor vehicle compliance model approved by the Ministry of Environmental Protection. Motor vehicle products not included in the model announcement will not be registered.
