Recently, Israeli start-up company StoreDot showed a charger prototype at Microsoft's Think Next, which can fully charge the smartphone within 30 seconds.

This demonstration of the charger's prototype is designed for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and is about the size of a laptop charger. However, this set of charging equipment does not charge the internal lithium battery of the S4 mobile phone. Instead, it charges the external battery quickly. The entire charging process takes less than half a minute. In addition, StoreDot said that this battery charge and discharge cycle has reached thousands of times and will not affect the life of the battery itself.
StoreDot's members are mainly from the University of Tel Aviv, Israel. These members mainly studied nanotechnology during the university and used natural peptides to develop bio-semiconductor materials.
StoreDot said that the company will complete the product within one year, strive to reduce the size of the charger prototype, and plans to develop similar fast charger products for other mobile phones. The price of StoreDot chargers is expected to be approximately twice as high as that of ordinary mobile phone chargers and will be available for sale at the end of 2016.
