As far as China’s wild Rhubarb resources are concerned, it is declining. For such situations, the cultivation of Bupleurum chinense is actively being carried out throughout the country, and large-scale planting bases have been formed in Shanxi and Gansu. There are a few studies on the characteristics of dormancy germination of Bupleurum chinense seeds, but more research is needed on the study of the germination temperature requirements. For this reason, germplasm and germinating temperature were studied on the seed germination of Bupleurum chinense, and some very significant results were obtained. Intelligent light incubator plays an important role in the germination of Bupleurum seed.

Intelligent germination incubator on seed germination found that the effect on germination rate: from a constant germination temperature, from 15 °C to 20 °C, the germination rate of Bupleurum seeds increased (significant SX level); temperature continues to rise (25 °C), the germination rate decreased; when the temperature rose to 30 °C, the germination rate continued to decline, significantly lower than the germination rate of 20 °C, SX, GS even without a seed germination. In addition to ZC at 4 constant temperatures, the germination rate of other Bupleurum seeds was below 50%, and GS was even lower than 10%. The results showed that the constant temperature is not conducive to the germination of seeds of Bupleurum (except for ZC), and the high temperature inhibits its germination. Compared with the constant germination temperature, 15 ~ 25 °C or 20 ~ 30 °C temperature treatment, can significantly promote the germination of Bupleurum seeds, SD, SX, GS germination rate in the corresponding constant temperature (high temperature) increased by more than 50%. This shows that Bupleurum seeds are very suitable for germination under variable temperature conditions.

Constant High Temperature Suppression Germination Relief Test: On the 51st day of the intelligent light incubator, the fresh non-emergence seeds in the box at 30°C were divided into 2 groups with 3 replicates (germinated boxes) in each group, and 1 group was still placed in the 30°C box. The germination characteristics of seeds were studied by intelligent light incubator. For the first time, the response of different germplasms of Bupleurum chinense to germination temperature and the germination performance of seeds under optimum germination temperature were clearly pointed out, and there were significant differences. Therefore, the dormancy or germination characteristics of Bupleurum chinense seed cannot be generalized but is closely related to germplasm.
