The project is located about 7 kilometers west of Erenhot City and covers an area of ​​about 10 square kilometers. The wind direction in the wind field is stable and the wind energy is more concentrated. The planned capacity is 200 megawatts. In the current period, 49.5 MW generating units will be built, a 220-kilovolt booster station will be built, and the booster station will receive a single 220-kilovolt line to connect to a 110-kilovolt substation. The installed capacity is 33 wind turbines with 1,500 kilowatts of stand-alone capacity, static investment of 4.4009 million yuan, and engineering investment of 45.075 million yuan. In the year of engineering, the theoretical power generation was 17.988 million kwh, the annual on-grid electricity was 117.076 million kwh, and the annual wind turbine utilization hours was 2365 hours. According to the thermal power consumption of 380 grams of standard coal per kilowatt-hour of thermal power, a total of 44,500 tons of standard coal can be saved in the year to achieve better energy-saving and emission reduction. The project was approved by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission on December 28, 2007. Construction was officially started on June 24, 2010. The hoisting of the wind turbines was completed on December 20, and the booster station was successful on the power supply on May 27, 2011. It is expected that before June 10, 33 wind turbines will all be connected to the grid for power generation.
On May 29, the first wind turbine of the 49.5 MW project of Phase I of Erenhot Wind Farm built by Inner Mongolia Guodian New Energy Co., Ltd. was successfully started, and it entered the phase of grid-connected commissioning.
