The products involved in the case will not cause substantive damage or substantial damage to the U.S. domestic industry. According to the negative ruling, the current anti-dumping measures against French sorbitol will be cancelled.

On February 12, 1982, the US Department of Commerce made an anti-dumping final ruling on the case and ruled that the case was involved in France. The dumping margin of enterprises is 2.90% to 5.50%. On July 1, 2009, the US Department of Commerce conducted an anti-dumping sunset review of the case. On November 3, 2009, the US Department of Commerce made a final review of the anti-dumping sunset review and ruled that the dumping margin of French-affected companies was 2.90%.
