Carbon and sulfur meter maintenance methods:

1. After a long period of analysis, there is a decrease in bubbles in the sulfur absorption cup or a drop in the flowmeter float in the arc furnace.

Cause: There are too many dust in the electric arc furnace and it has been blocked. Need to clean the dust in the furnace, dust collector, single tube. When dusting, be careful not to break the dust-absorbing paper wrapped around the duster core. For specific methods, see the electric arc furnace instructions.

2. When measuring carbon, the measured data is lower than the actual value.

Causes (1): Soda lime is too long (solid absorption). Remedy: Remove the absorption tube at the back of the instrument and replace it with fresh and dry soda lime. If the liquid is absorbed, the KOH solution in the gas bottle is too long and should be replaced.

Cause (2): Pipe leaks. Silicone seals at the scorpion seats do not seal, and the gas pipes at the rear of the gas analyzer analysis box leak air. The inspection method can be performed according to the "nine" directory.

Causes (3) The sample burns incompletely. Remedy: Check the arc combustion system or properly add pure iron as auxiliary solvent to help combustion to achieve full and complete.

3. The reason why the solution siphons in the gas cylinder during the analysis: The two electrodes DJ1 and DJ2 in the instrument level bottle have been corroded. Remedy: Clean the electrode surface with iron sandpaper.

4. After the "Government" is over, the liquid level in the gas cylinder drops continuously.

Cause: The air path above the gas cylinder includes air leaks from the pipes connecting DF3, DF4, absorption pipes, and DF5. However, the air leakage at the dry pipe rubber plug is more likely. Remedy; Connect the appropriate connector.

5. After pressing the "Analyze" button, the bubble passes through the sulfur absorption cup, but the program no longer proceeds down.

Cause: Under normal circumstances, DJ1, DJ2 contact. Remedy: Turn DJ1 or DJ2 out of contact. Or dial the level rubber plug, bend the electrode properly, and then install it.

6. After the “Prepare” button is pressed, the solution in the level bottle cannot be filled into the gas cylinder. (The liquid in the gas cylinder does not rise)

Cause: Generally DJ3, DJ5 collide with or touch the inner wall of the cylinder. Remedy: Adjust DJ3, DJ5. Or the rubber stopper on the bottle is not tight or loose.
7. After the “Prepare” button is pressed, the titrant bottle does not add titrant to the buret.

Cause: Generally, DJ3 and DJ5 collide with each other or come into contact with the inner wall of the burette. The exclusion method is 3 or DJ5. Or the rubber stopper on the titration bottle is tight or loose.
8. After the “Prepare” button is pressed, the liquid in the gas cylinder does not stop after it is full.

Cause: The electrodes DJ3, DJ5 have been corroded. Remedy: Clear the electrode surface with iron sandpaper.
