I. Introduction In the actual production of molybdenum ore beneficiation plant, the silicate used is sodium silicate gangue minerals inhibitor. By modifying the water glass, it can significantly improve its selective inhibition effect, which has been in fluorite ore and scheelite. The ore is applied. Second, the nature of the ore The ore sample used in the test was provided by a molybdenum mine in Liaoning with an ore grade of 0.23%. The results of chemical multi-element analysis of the main elements in the ore sample and the elements that may affect the quality of the concentrate are shown in Table 1. The chemical phase analysis results of molybdenum in the ore are shown in Table 2. The chemical analysis results show that the ore has a molybdenum grade of 0.23% and a rock-forming component of SiO 2 . The content is 48.35%, it can be inferred that the gangue minerals in the ore are mainly silicate minerals. The results of chemical phase analysis show that the molybdenum in the ore is mainly composed of sulfide minerals. The molybdenum sulfide has an occupation rate of 94.58% in the ore and 5.42% in the other phases. The structural types of ore are disseminated structures, agglomerate structures, network structures and vein structures. The structure of the ore has a self-crystal structure, a semi-automorphic crystal structure, a his-grained grain structure, a residual structure, an alternating dissolution structure, an inclusion structure, and a reaction edge structure. The elements such as molybdenum, iron and copper in the ore are mainly present as independent minerals. Independent of molybdenum minerals mainly molybdenite; independently mineral iron pyrite; independent minerals mainly chalcopyrite copper; gangue minerals are quartz, followed by potassium feldspar, albite and forsterite. Third, the test results and discussion (1) Flotation test The crude pharmaceutical dosage selected from: ordinary water glass test: coal oil 210g / t, foaming agents 375g / t, Water glass 2kg/t; Modified water glass test: kerosene l50g / t, foaming agent 312.5g / t, modified water glass 1.4 kg / t. A rough selection, four-stage sweep, and eight-stage flotation process are shown in Figure 1. The effects of ordinary water glass and modified water glass on the flotation of molybdenum ore were investigated. The results are shown in Tables 3 and 4. Comparing the flotation indexes of the two closed-circuit tests, it can be seen that when ordinary water glass is used, the grade of molybdenum concentrate is 48.2%, the recovery rate is 90.11%, the molybdenum grade of tailings is 0.022%, and the recovery rate is 9.89%. When using modified water glass, the grade of molybdenum concentrate increased by 3.6%, the recovery rate decreased by 2.28%; the tailings molybdenum grade was 0.027%, and the recovery rate was 12.17%. (2) Tailings settlement test The two sets of closed-circuit test tailings were used for sedimentation comparison test. The test results are shown in Table 5. From the data of the tailings settlement comparison test, the average sedimentation velocity of the tailings slurry of the modified water glass closed circuit test is 1.21 cm/min. Under the same test conditions, the tailings of the ordinary water glass closed circuit test hardly settled at the same time. (III) Discussion of test results 1. According to the 3.1 flotation test, under the same flotation conditions, the water glass has not only reduced its dosage, but also improved the flotation index, and its inhibition on silicate minerals is obtained. The reason may be that after modifying the water glass, the content of the negatively charged silicic acid colloid and the H 3 SiO 4 - in the solution is greatly increased, and the adsorption amount on the mineral surface is also increased. Therefore, the modification process of water glass is actually a process of strengthening the water glass inhibition ability. 2. It can be seen from the 3.2 tailings sedimentation test that the water glass is modified to float the tailings, and the sedimentation speed is significantly improved, which improves the problem of tailings settlement difficult. This may be due to the modification of the water glass, which causes a large amount of silica gel to be produced in the solution, which accelerates the flocculation and sedimentation of the tailings and weakens the dispersion of the water glass to the slime. Fourth, the conclusion The closed-circuit test is carried out by a rough selection, four-stage sweeping and eight-stage selection process. Compared with ordinary water glass, the modified water glass not only reduces the amount of flotation agent but also improves the same flotation condition. The index of molybdenum ore products, and the settlement speed of tailings is greatly accelerated. From the almost non-settling to the average settling velocity of 1.21 cm/min, the problem of difficult settlement of tailings is obviously improved.
