Entien will set up an industrial bearing production base in Nanjing

NTN will set up an industrial machinery bearing production subsidiary in Nanjing. The new company will be one-stop to produce bearings for wind turbines, construction machinery, and steel equipment that are in increasing demand in the Chinese market. Scheduled for mass production in October 2012.

The new company is planned to be located in the Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone within the city of Nanjing, under the name "Nanjing NTN Precision Machinery and Electronic Co., Ltd." (Nanjing NTN). The types of products produced are ball bearings and roller bearings, and the sizes are mainly medium-sized, large-scale, and very-large-scale types (outside diameter is 10 cm to 2 m or more). The number of employees is assumed to be about 400 at the beginning, and the number of employees will increase to about 1200 by 2015 as production scale and scale increase. The total investment of the new company is approximately 15 billion yen.

In the mid-term management plan “Yuejin 2013” ​​from April 2011 to March 2014, Entien proposed a policy to promote the localization of production areas and talents. The company had previously launched production of automotive bearings and constant velocity joints in China, and will accelerate the localization of bearings for industrial equipment.
