Recently, the “Tianxi†wheel built by Nantong COSCO Kawasaki Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. for NYK Company of Japan has refreshed two records.
At 4 o'clock in the morning, under the careful guidance of three first-class pilots at the Nantong Pilot Station of the Yangtze River Pilotage Center, the "Tianxi" round slowly sailed out of the COSCO Kawasaki Pier and rushed to the Sutong Bridge construction waters at 6:50. Passing the bridge safely before the flight, finally arrived at Baoshan and the Shanghai Port pilots at 9:30 to successfully complete the handover. It is reported that its construction not only refreshed the largest record of single ship tonnage in the history of Chinese shipbuilding, but also set the largest record of the ship's deadweight tons in the history of Yangtze River pilotage.
The "Tianxi" ship has a length of 333 meters, a ship width of 60 meters and a depth of 29.5 meters. The ship scale is the same as the first six VLCCs built by COSCO Kawasaki Ship Engineering Co., Ltd., but the use of high-strength steel plates on shipbuilding materials reduces the weight. 15,000 tons, so the deadweight tons increased to 315,000 tons.
