According to statistics from the Shanghai Mould and Die Industry Association, private enterprises and foreign-funded enterprises have developed most rapidly and have become the main force in the Shanghai mold industry. The output value of Shanghai's mold industry grows at a rate of more than 20% every year, and the momentum is strong.

Industry associations are indispensable

The Shanghai Tooling Industry Association played an indispensable role in this process. Since its establishment in December 1994, the Shanghai Mould Industry Association has gone through nearly 15 years of miles. On February 20, 2009, the Shanghai Mould Industry Association organized the fourth member representative meeting and the first council. At present, the city has more than 3,000 mold-making and mold-related companies with a certain scale. Information technology, hot runner and gas assist technology, rapid prototyping technology, and high-speed cutting technology have played an important role in improving the level of molds. Highly technically intensive, automotive molds that embody advanced mold making techniques are difficult to manufacture and require high precision. Multi-function multi-function progressive die has also made great progress. However, there is still a gap between Shanghai's mold industry and the international advanced level. In particular, large-scale, sophisticated, complex, long-life, high-efficiency molds are still an important task for the industry.

However, despite the rapid growth of the national economy, the rapid development of the mold industry, Shanghai mold management, production technology and manufacturing levels have greatly improved, the mold industry still can not meet the rapid development needs of the national economy, compared with the international advanced level The gap, especially the large-scale, sophisticated, complex, long-lived mode has a part that needs to be imported. With the continuous adjustment of China's economic structure, technical structure, and product structure, the requirements for precision molds are constantly increasing.

The mold industry is overtaxed by many companies, which severely restricts the sustainable development of the company. The association has coordinated with the relevant government agencies several times to further expand the scope of the tax refund policy. Through the tax rebate, it has promoted the technological transformation of enterprises and improved the market competitiveness of enterprises.
