Float zone - Purification electromigration combined rare earth metals and electrical smelting region is simultaneously in bars on a migration purification. The method utilizes the zone melting purification to remove the metal impurities in the rare earth metal and the electromigration method to remove the gas impurities such as oxygen in the rare earth metal, and the two ends of the test bar are fixed on the electrode, and the direct current is applied to the test bar. In a moving melting zone, the impurities in the test bar are redistributed in the upper and lower sides of the melting zone under the action of an electric field, so that the rare earth metal is purified. In the zone melt purification, the molten zone moves upward from the lower end (starting end) of the test bar, and metal impurities are concentrated on the upper end (end) of the test bar. In electromigration purification, the cathode is terminated at the lower end of the test rod, and the anode is connected to the upper end. Gas impurities such as oxygen move toward the anode end and are concentrated at the upper end of the test rod. Therefore, the result of the combined purification of the two methods is that a relatively pure metal is obtained in the middle and lower portions of the test bar. Simultaneous purification and electromigration purification of the suspension zone on the test bar can improve the pure efficiency and shorten the purification cycle.
